How It Works

How We Harvest

A look at the process from start to finish.

(Looking for our services or harvesting methods?)

Step 1: Get In Touch

Give us a call, message us on Facebook, or email us.

You’ll probably be talking to Gary; let him know what your forestry needs are. From there, if it works out, he’ll come out and take a look at your woods.

Step 2: Timber Walk

The next step is to take a look at your land and timber. We’ll cruise through your woods, evaluate your timber, find the best places for logging roads, and figure out the best method for harvesting your trees.

Step 3: Free Estimate

We’ll work out an estimate based on several factors, including timber quality, distance, logging method, and difficulty.

From there, you can take it or leave it.

Step 4: Logging

Then the real work begins. Our crew uses skidders, bulldozers, and loaders to transport the expertly cut-and-dropped trees out of the woods and to the lumberyard.

We also cut down all fallen treetops to 6′ high or less. These tops are important to the long-term health of your woods, providing cover for wildlife, shelter for the forest floor, and nutrients for the soil.

(More on our logging practices here).

Step 5: Cleanup

We put a lot of effort into this step, and our customers appreciate it.

We seed all landings and mulch them, keep local roads clean at all times, and leave logging roads open in strategic places to ensure accessibility into your woods.

We also grade all creek crossings, ensuring that the water flow of streams and creeks will not be affected.
