What You Get When You Hire Us
I. We buy trees in and around Ohio
Born in Ohio in 1975, we’ve had the privilege of working in a lot of areas. Whether you’re on our map or outside it, give us a call – we’d love to work something out.
II. We cut timber
And we’re pretty good at it. Our cutters are experts at dropping massive or complicated trees without damaging powerlines, fencerows, or surrounding trees. More below.
III. We clean up
Throughout the logging process, we maintain open, graded roads with bars for water runoff. We grade creek crossings and seed and mulch all of our landings.
Harvesting Methods
We offer three ways to go about harvesting your woods
1.
Selective Cut
We specialize in “selective cutting.” This sustainable method of forestry removes mature, defective, or inferior trees in order to promote the healthy flourishing of your woods.
2.
Diameter Cut
While this method has some disadvantages, in some situations, a diameter limit cut may actually be more advantageous to your property. This leaves room for younger, smaller-diameter trees to grow. (See NCFES’s notes on this method here.)
3.
Wildlife Management
Along with our other methods of forestry, we provide a service for landowners interested in patterning game and wildlife. This includes providing dense cover, screening property lines, and strategically placing logging roads.
